LADY AMELIA’S MESS AND A HALF
by Samantha Grace

Genre: Regency Period, Historical Romance, England
Sensuality: HOT
Setting: Regency England

RT Rating

Book two in Grace’s Beau Monde Bachelor series is full of love and betrayal, passion and scandal. The book is well researched and entertaining, but the obstacles keeping the lovers apart are contrived, and — for a rake — the hero whines a bit much.

Lady Amelia and Jake Hillary shared a passionate kiss, and then he disappeared — so she married his best friend. Now, two years later, she is a widow with a cause and he worships her from afar. He sets out to woo the lovely lady, but family, friends and society keep getting in their way. Finally, the lovers seem about to embark on a new future, when a specter from the past drives them further apart than ever. (SOURCEBOOKS, Jun., 416 pp., $6.99)
