Book Review

by Carole Mortimer

Genre: Regency Period, Historical Romance, England
Sensuality: HOT
Setting: 1818 London

RT Rating

Mortimer excels at producing strong, independent heroines, and Arabella, the pampered youngest sister of three older brothers, fits the bill when she comes up against London's most notorious rake. This fourth offering in the saga of the Notorious St. Claires is a decent Regency romance with likable characters and a touch of mystery and romance.

Arabella St. Claire has been attracted to the notorious Darius Wynter, the Duke of Carlyne, since she first saw him. When the two are discovered in a compromising position, Darius reluctantly offers marriage -- reluctantly, because his first wife died under mysterious circumstances and Darius is afraid that by marrying Arabella he's placing her in grave danger.
