After Lady May is rescued from certain ruin by a dashing Frenchman, she is unprepared to find Etienne wounded in the folly on her property in LADY MAYS FOLLY (4). Horrible rumors denounce Etienne as a murderous rogue, but Lady May cant bring herself to believe that the brave young man she has given her heart to can really be trying to murder her best friends husband. When she is again threatened by disaster and danger, Etienne finally realizes how much he has come to care for her. Donna Simpson endows her characters with good humor and great sympathy, and sets up an intriguing plot for readers to enjoy.
