Rock does an excellent job of capturing the reader’s attention from the first page. She has packed her tale with unrequited love, ancient treasure, stubborn lovers, silent secrets and a wicked villain. The action is nonstop, the characters very real and the plot twists engaging and endless. This one is a definite keeper!

Lady Cristiana of Domhnaill reluctantly opens her gates to Duncan the Brave, her ex-fiancé. He has come to claim her lands and her hand in marriage, as decreed by the king … or did he? Before the nuptials can take place, Duncan’s crazed half-brother attacks the king in his name. Now, Duncan must put his house in order or forfeit everything he loves. Suddenly, the lovers have no choice but to resolve their issues for they must stand together in order to conquer the evil that threatens their future and their people.
