Meeting cowboy Jackson North at a charity function seems like fate to maid Felicia Markowski. Desperate to have a child, she's ecstatic when a friend predicts that "the last cowboy" will make her a mother, despite years of infertility, and decides that Jack's that man. Haunted by the deaths of his children, Jack doesn't want to have a baby -- with anyone. But Felicia refuses to give up, and, eventually, Jack is forced to deal with her -- and his feelings. Crystal Green's The Last Cowboy (3) touches on some sensitive, topical issues, but it's hampered by a one-dimensional heroine.
