THE LAST COWBOY HERO
by Barbara McMahon

Genre: Series

RT Rating

When a stroke leaves her father in the hospital, Holly Bennett must run things at his ranch. But her father won't give her complete control, so she must deal with a worker who's constantly hitting on her. After a showdown with her father, Holly leaves the ranch and starts working for Tyler Alverez, the love of her life, who's just returned home after a decade away. Bitter over what Holly sees as Tyler's defection when she was recovering from miscarrying their baby during a car accident, Holly and Tyler soon learn that there's more to the story than either knows. In The Last Cowboy Hero (4), Barbara McMahon spices up what would be an otherwise typical plot with the backstory of a crooked rancher. Her depiction of a couple wounded by lies is spot on.
