THE LAST KIND WORDS
by Tom Piccirilli

Genre: Mystery/Suspense/Thriller, Suspense

RT Rating

The Last Kind Words is a novel that grabs the reader’s attention from the very start and never lets go. All of the characters in this story are fully fleshed out, including characters that do not take center stage until the end of the book. These characters are so well written that it is easy to feel the pain and anguish that they are experiencing. The mystery itself is very intriguing and difficult to figure out, but once it is concluded it makes complete sense. Piccirilli is a master of description and character development. The next book in the Rand series will be highly anticipated.

Terrier Rand is distraught when he finds out that his brother, Collier, went on a killing spree that ended with eight dead. Terry runs away from his life and only returns when it is time for Collie to be executed. Once he’s home, Terry is placed in an impossible situation. Collie claims that one of the victims was not killed by him and that there is another active killer on the loose. Can Terry really trust anything his brother says? Can Terry really live without finding out the truth? (BANTAM, Jun., 336 pp., $26.00)
