Book Review

Genre: Comics/Graphic Novels/Manga, Graphic Novel

RT Rating

Brava! We see the human side of St. Louis’ necromancer Anita Blake. This graphic novel is as wonderful in comic form as it is in the fiction novel with marvelous art and adaptation. This compilation of comics numbered 1 through 5 is a fan favorite!

Zombies go on the attack in Anita’s apartment. Anita defeats them, but the home invasion cracks her hardened shell. Her vulnerability is evident as she sheds tears and washes her beloved stuffed penguins. The lingering effects and her uncertainty about herself are clear as Anita searches for more clues about why she was attacked and what is really going on.
