Book Review

Genre: Inspirational, Mainstream

RT Rating

It takes a little while for Adams’ latest Winds of Change novel to find its groove, but when it does — wow! The themes of forgiveness and taking off the masks we wear are prominent, as well as the overall message of letting God heal brokenness.

Shiloh is a dedicated mom and pastor’s wife, but she is hiding some deep secrets from her past. After she takes a temporary job teaching music, the students she meets help her to see that she needs to be more authentic with those around her. Continued encounters with fellow pastor’s wife Jade also bring to light the consequences of keeping secrets and the freedom of sharing the heart with others. (ZONDERVAN, Jul., 336 pp., $14.99)
