Cooper’s intriguing novel is an outstanding read! A fast-paced, smartly written plot — fraught with danger and brimming with surprises — makes it impossible to put down. The rising emotional and sexual tension woven throughout the story leads to a unique climax. This is certainly a book to read again and keep forever.

Laird Stephen McAlisdair is in London to visit a highly respected antiquities expert. The expert’s secretary Mina is put off by Stephen’s arrogance but curious enough to follow him. While doing so, Mina is attacked by bizarre creatures. As she attempts to escape, she comes face to face with a dragon, but the creature morphs into Stephen. Realizing Mina knows his secret, Stephen offers her a high-paying position as his secretary. The more Mina learns of Stephen’s history, the more she falls in love with him. As Mina and Stephen are drawn into the world of a maniacal killer, Stephen is torn between his human and dragon natures, his need for revenge and his love for Mina.
