LIE TO ME
In this second installment of the Black Opals series, Sasha and Alexei are damaged people in a world of lies and suspense that would break the average human being. There are elements of human trafficking and international terrorism that are an awkward fit for an erotic romance, which includes m/f/m ménage activity. The major climactic turn comes out of the blue but ties this story together well, and secondary characters are well placed for future books.
Sasha was taken to Dubai two years ago, as a gift to Sheik Amir, and Alexei has never forgotten her. They had one night together, which branded them forever. Now, sent by the Black Opals to return Sasha to her father in Russia, Alexei has to harden his heart to complete his mission — but he fails, miserably. For her own reasons, Sasha has no interest in the father who she believes betrayed her, and she is also hiding a major part of her past that destroyed many lives. (HEAT, JUL, 337 pp, $15.00)
