LIFESTYLES OF THE RICH AND SHAMELESS
Genre: Mainstream, Multicultural
The authors adeptly and smoothly blend two stories into a sizzling, action-packed, electric and gut-wrenching novel. The incredible selfishness, stupidity, greed, gullibility and complicity of the characters will bombard readers’ senses until the last word. Of course, explicit sexuality heightens the hypnotic attraction to the drama unfolding in the lives of the villains and the victorious. Fans of this genre will assuredly embrace Swinson and Noire’s joint release as one of the best.
Megan Rich is spoiled and “Shamelessly Rich” in Swinson’s entry when she drops out of college to hang with her dope-dealing boyfriend, Duke Chambers. However, she is no match for his thuggish ways when her plans to get revenge on her parents for cutting her off backfire. Zsa Zsa, Malisha and Kiki will do anything to land a man who’ll pay their bills and keep them in the style they think every trophy wife deserves. Noble is a handsome, smart and rich traffic cop, and he’s not on the take. He’s ready to propose on his birthday to one of his girlfriends, but somebody is “Puttin’ Shame in the Game” in Noire’s tale. (DAFINA, Dec., 320 pp., $15.00)
