This truly in-depth romantic tale is filled with the complexities that come from making a mistake in life that you just can’t get over. Manners does an incredible job of putting together a story that not only teaches a very valuable lesson, but allows readers to see that a life without mistakes is an impossible dream.

Rena is a woman with a big heart. Unfortunately, because of an error she made long ago, her heart has been broken into pieces and she must deal with the fact that she had to leave New York and her Broadway dream behind to take care of her parents. Cody wants desperately to find someone he can share his future with. When he meets Rena at a “house building,” where the small town gets together to build a new home for people who lost everything in a fire, he can see that Rena possesses a wealth of love. All he has to do is figure out a way to make Rena trust him, while teaching her that God forgives all. (WHITE ROSE, Mar., 212 pp., $12.99)
