When a vigilante guns down the man whom defense attorney Faith Lawton worked hard to release, her courthouse opponent, chief of detectives Adam Guthrie, jumps to her aid. The pair must work together to find the sniper before there's another attack—this time on one of them! In Julie Elizabeth Leto's Line of Fire (4.5), the suspense is strong and the sexual tension high. The author deftly handles dialogue, portrays her characters as unique, intelligent individuals and speeds the plot along. This is a well-written, compelling story.
