Drowning in debt, recently evicted Molly Connors thinks her life can't get any worse. She's forced to think again after being fired by Kyle -- the boss with whom she'd been sharing a mutual attraction -- when she's fingered as the office traitor.

Molly seeks refuge, unbeknownst to Kyle, at his rarely used island house. She doesn't count on Kyle making an appearance there, with important clients in tow. Although furious at more lies and deceit, Kyle decides to keep his friends close and Molly, his enemy, closer. Neither counts on just how close they'll get!

Carr delivers a fast-paced, irresistible comedy that any down-on-her-luck or seemingly unlucky-in-love woman can relate to. (Dec., 304 pp., $14.00)
