LIQUID LIES
by Hanna Martine

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance
Sensuality: HOT

RT Rating

Martine is a fresh new voice with an unusual story premise that is both captivating and darkly disturbing, featuring a race of people hiding in plain sight and selling their magic to the upper echelons of corporate America. Treachery and lies permeate this tale and the relationship between hero and heroine is no standard love story. If this first book is any indication, this series has the potential to be a winner!

Gwen Carroway is an Ofarian, a water elemental. She and her people are trapped on Earth and have formed the Company to sell a product called mendacia to those who can afford it. When a sale goes awry, Gwen is saved by a Primary, aka human, named Reed Scott. Reed’s business is kidnapping, and his newest target is Gwen. He can’t allow his feelings to influence his work, but even he begins to suspect there is more going on here than meets the eye. For Gwen, everything she has ever believed is shown to be false and she is faced with decisions that will affect her entire species. (BERKLEY SENSATION, Jul., 368 pp., $7.99)
