A LITTLE BIT SINFUL
by Adrienne Basso

Genre: Regency Period, Historical Romance, England
Sensuality: HOT
Setting: Regency England

RT Rating

Utilizing standard themes — revenge, matchmaking and a house party — Basso charms with an unconventional heroine and dashing hero who jump into a scandal. Readers will care about the protagonists, but the secondary characters shine as they lure readers into a lively and touching love story.

Viscount Benton, Sebastian Dodd, has waited years to avenge his mother’s death. His chance comes when Bianca Collins arrives for the season. He plans to seduce the beautiful innocent. But Bianca’s older sister Eleanor surprises him with her wit and intelligence.

Neither young nor flighty, Eleanor believes she is far from desirable or marriageable, but Sebastian makes her feel like a girl. Even as she strives to put aside her yearnings, leaving him to Bianca, she longs for his touch. Sebastian’s plan goes awry when he kisses Eleanor. Suddenly nothing matters but possessing her. However, the past rears its head and Eleanor feels betrayed. As Sebastian struggles to regain her love, they each learn valuable life lessons. (ZEBRA, Jan., 380 pp., $6.99)
