LONESTAR SANCTUARY
by Colleen Coble

Genre: Inspirational, Romantic Suspense

RT Rating

Coble's latest combines thrills with heartwarming romance. The romantic angle is by far the strongest, with a take-charge hero and a determined heroine. The mystery keeps the plot moving quickly, but the villain's identity is both far-fetched and easy to guess, which is disappointing.

Working the rodeo circuit, widow Allie Siders is trying to make ends meet and support her young daughter, Betsy. But threats to her life and the deaths of close family members force her to seek sanctuary at a ranch in the wilds of Texas. The threats seem to follow her there, and even reconnecting with Rick Bailey, a friend of her deceased husband, fails to keep all of the trouble away. Is there anywhere Allie and Betsy can hide?
