THE LONG WAY HOME
by Mariah Stewart

Genre: Contemporary Romance, General Contemporary Romance
Sensuality: HOT

RT Rating

Stewart crafts a charming story in her latest entry in the Chesapeake Diaries series. The premise is interesting, the characters are refreshing and Ellie and Cameron’s chemistry is sparkling. Tender moments make this story heartwarming, but the conflict is not strong enough to make it truly shine.

After a very public scandal surrounding her family, Ellie Chapman goes to the town of St. Dennis to lay low and sell the home her mother left her. She doesn’t plan to stay long, yet she becomes enamored of the town, its residents and handsome contractor Cameron O’Conner. Cameron has a secret motive in mind when he agrees to help Ellie fix up her house so it can be sold. Yet, both Ellie and Cameron discover that what they both thought they wanted may not be what they really need after all. (BALLANTINE, Feb., 432 pp., $7.99)
