Michaele Ramey is used to taking care of her family: a drunken father and a spoiled sister, Faith. She keeps things running both at home and at the family-owned garage. Then one day, Faith doesnt come home and Michaele receives a cryptic call that throws her life into a tailspin as the police are called in to investigate.

Police Chief Jared Morgan is bothered by this case, first because he has come to care about Michaele and second because Jared had lost the woman he loved in much the same manner six years before. The pressure is on because there are those in town who believe the two crimes are related.

Now the two are working together to find Michaeles sister while they learn that they can trust and lean on each other. Readers will be kept on the edge of their seats by this story! (Mar., 408 pp., $5.99)
