A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS (4) by Dawn Atkins: As assistant manager of the Starlight Desert Mall in Phoenix, Sylvie Stark believes she’ll be made general manager when her boss leaves. But when the owner of the mall instead appoints his son, Chase McCann, it’s up to Sylvie to help him get through the holidays successfully, even though he’s deciding whether her precious mall should be sold. At the same time, they must work together to figure out who’s been vandalizing the mall. This is a well-written story with nicely depicted sexual tension between the protagonists. In addition, Atkins’ descriptions of the mall shops and their owners is charming.
