Cindy Larson Granger is the wife of a prominent doctor who is determined to put the spark back in her marriage. When she surprises her husband in his office, she finds him in the midst of…his nurse.

Dr. Marc Thomas left work early to surprise his wife with a romantic evening at home. Armed with her favorite flowers and plans for dinner, he finds her in a heated conversation with her lover, who also turns out to be his best friend.

Cindy and Mark are tied by two strong, highly potent forces: their mothers. The best of friends, both women are now determined to get their adult children together. However, getting around Cindy's intense dislike for doctors and Marc's mistrust of beautiful women is a job in itself.

Cindy and Marc's betrayals are so vividly portrayed that I felt their pain and was hopelessly hooked on their romance. Ms. Wootson has a tremendous gift for painting indelible pictures with her words. I especially enjoyed the "shameless" plugs for author Marilyn Tyner's novels—Ms. Tyner is the author's sister!
