When his adopted 4-year-old son Johnny needs a transfusion, widowed rancher Hunter Coltrane is forced to ask the boy's birth mother to make a donation. She refuses, but her twin sister Terese has the same blood type and wants to help. Terese is also keen to get to know Johnny, so Hunter's invitation to his ranch pleases her. The close contact makes them both wary, but before long they're pulled together, despite their issues and insecurities. For Love and Family (4) is a well-told story that will touch even the most jaded reader's heart. Victoria Pade's characters are lovingly detailed, and their contrasting male/female responses to events are priceless.
