Image of Love Another Day (An Agent Ex Novel)

This is the fifth entry in Robinson’s Agent Ex series, a string of James Bond-spoof action spy thrillers. As such, it appeals to fans of the genre, and, if you are one, it will be like getting a box of chocolates. Robinson does a great job of inventing gadgets, secret organizations, hot operators and fast action. The lead, Malene, is resourceful and entertaining. Her love affair is with her ex-husband, and as they careen all over Scotland it’s great fun for the reader!

Malene has created disguises and covers for spies for years and is finally getting her chance in the field. There is just one catch: She is posing as the cute grad student girlfriend to her ex. He plays the sexy prof well, but their split was over his work-related seductions, done for the sake of the job. Tate has always played the high-roller playboy for the agency, and it cost him his marriage. Seducing yet another woman doesn’t sound like a good plan, but it’s the assignment — and the more he is around Mal, the harder it is not to concentrate on seducing her instead. (ST.
