Teacher Jordan Anderson was in the right place at the right time to prevent what would have been a tragic disaster. By just doing her job, Jordan, much to her surprise, changed a student's life for the better. Now the student is himself a teacher, and he is Jordan's mentor at a new school.

Mike Walker was happy beyond words when he found out that Jordan would be teaching science alongside him. Even though Jordan has had a successful career, something happened recently that has affected her confidence level. Now she will be leaning on Mike. That's perfectly all right with him, as he's got quite the crush on her. Naturally, she feels she's far too old for him, as there is a 10-year age difference. Mike feels the years don't matter and the two began dating, albeit secretly. However, at the high school, troublesome students make life difficult for them both.

White-Owens has written a realistic book, covering an older woman/younger man relationship, as well as the realities that occur in high schools every day. This excellent read is one not to be missed. (Nov., 280 pp., $5.99)
