Filled with delightful characters, this enjoyable story embraces the idea that love can survive time and distance. There's a mystery that builds gradually, not as the main focus of the story but as an interesting
secondary thread, and the ending is quite satisfactory and uplifting.

After 10 years, Cole has returned to Canyon Bend rich, successful and ready to fight for the one thing he wants more than anything -- the love of Charley. Unbeknownst to Charley, her threatening uncle forced Cole to leave the day after he proposed to Charley, and she hasn't heard from him since. Though Charley never stopped loving Cole, she can't forgive him for leaving, and after discovering that he is CJE Inc. and owns half her saloon, she decides to keep their interactions strictly professional.

Those plans can't stand against the feelings they still have for one another, however, and it's Charley's uncle and his hatred for Cole that becomes the real obstacle to their love. (, dl $5.95)
