LOVE FINDS YOU ON CHRISTMAS MORNING
Perry and Mayne create heartwarming, sweet love in their stories. While both stories are predictable and offer little depth, they give the feeling of Christmas, making this book an enjoyable, quick read on a cold night by the fire.
In “Deck the Halls,” William Tronnier has fallen for the beautiful but poor Lillian Pickard. His family’s wealth holds Lillian back from realizing her true feelings, but as Christmas approaches she may just get a gift of a lifetime. In “Tis the Season” Nikki Tronnier moves back to her hometown in North Carolina, hoping to purchase the home that her great-grandparents built a life in. Drew Cornell, a newcomer to town, buys the house before she is able. The two of them work out an arrangement, giving Nikki more than she ever imagined. (SUMMERSIDE, Oct., 320 pp., $12.99)
