Book Review

A LOVE OF HER OWN
by Maggie Brendan

Genre: Inspirational, Historical Romance

RT Rating

Brendan paints a colorful picture of the Old West in this Hearts of the West title. April and Wes are from different backgrounds, and the author does a good job of showing the compromises they have to make. However, there isn’t much chemistry between them.

April McBride is looking forward to traveling to Montana for her brother’s wedding. She is still healing from a called-off engagement and broken heart. Once in Montana, April makes a quick impression on the town with her high and mighty attitude. When she meets Wes Owen, the local horse trainer, sparks fly when he isn’t afraid to put her in her place. Suddenly April sees a possibility for romance. Can she let her guard down in order to find love again?
