James’ latest in her FBI/US Attorney series takes readers along on a ride filled with heat and passion. Cade and Brooke’s battle of wills keeps the tension high and the chemistry sizzling. Add to that good pacing and strong storytelling, and this is a read that will keep you turning the pages. Truly entertaining!

When former football star and Chicago prosecutor Cade Morgan first meets Brooke Parker, general counsel for a restaurant company, they clash, each rubbing the other the wrong way. Looking to nail a corrupt state senator, Cade needs Brooke to agree to have the senator’s table bugged at one of the five-star restaurants she represents. When a fierce attraction sparks between them, they get involved with the intent of keeping it casual. Both play it tough, guarding their hearts until a surprising turn of events forces them to realize that their relationship is far more than just casual. (BERKLEY SENSATION, Apr., 304 pp., $7.99)
