Rekindling and reconnecting are themes consistently starring in Chapman’s newest Spellbound Falls novel. The protagonists, Titus and Rana Oceanus, have been married for 40 years, but a potential crisis drives a wedge in their relationship. There is not a lot of conflict in this novel; it is more of an examination of personalities and how they grow and change with each other. Tender and touching, this is a story sure to warm your heart!

Facing a potentially scary development, all-too human Rana Oceanus decides to leave Atlantis and her powerful and magical husband, Titus, to get some breathing room. Rana purchases a small cottage in Spellbound Falls, very near her son and daughter. For his part, Titus can’t figure out what is up with his wife, but he is determined to win her back. Using a little courtship magic may do the trick. Unfortunately, things get complicated when a new god is born and some demons decide to attack. (JOVE, Sep., 304 pp., $7.99)
