RT Rating

This book is beautiful, romantic, sexy and intriguing. Readers are introduced to the protagonists' families as well, which adds realism. A character who's an expert at self-sacrifice reminds the characters, and the reader, that love is not about what you give up but about what you gain.

Trey, known in the investment world as the "Iceman," is all business and has ducked the idea of a serious relationship for most of his life. Kenya has had her heart broken and decided to devote her time to her business and her family. As the oldest of three, she is used to taking care of people and allowing her own needs to be ignored. Intent on gaining revenge for a wrong done to her father, Kenya lands on Trey's doorstep ready for battle. Once the two meet, sparks fly, and each has to make the decision to put business on the back burner and allow love the chance to bloom. (KIMANI/ARABESQUE, Nov., 304 pp., $6.99)
