Successful Wall Street trader Cynthia Sullivan is positive that her new high-priced Ferrama shoes caused a series of mishaps which have left her temporarily jobless due to disability. Unless they come through with a million dollar settlement, Cindy is planning on suing Prince Perico Tomas de la Ferrama and his company.

c For Prince Perico aka Peter Ferrama and his lawyer and partner Enrique Alvarez, the timing couldnt be worse. In three weeks, Ferrama Shoes is going public and negative publicity could damage their stock offering. Peter plans on charming Cindy out of her lawsuit, but his quirky stepsisters Naomi and Ruth fear he cant pull it off.

Taking matters into their own hands, Naomi, Ruth and her boyfriend Elmer Presley kidnap Cindy and plan to hold her captive until after the stock offering. Cindy is furious, though its hard to be afraid of an Elvis impersonator who also claims to be her fairy godfather. But Naomi is dangerous, with her overwhelming obsession to restore Peters Catskill Castle, and her expertise with power tools.

Racing to the rescue, Peter also finds himself held captive by the wacky trio. Chained together in a bedroom, Peter and Cindy argue and fight their growing mutual attraction.

Elmer insists that his otherworldly help will give this fairy tale a happy conclusion, but he certainly has his work cut out for him.

Leave it to Sandra Hill to take this fractured modern fairy tale and make it a wildly sexy and hilarious romp. Her fans will be delighted. (Dec., 400 pp., $5.99)
