Michael Flynn has sworn off women and resigns himself to fatherhood and work. On a special, week-long holiday with his two young daughters, the family St. Bernard changes all that.

Also staying at the beautiful B&B is Colleen O'Connor, her two boys and their cat. Colleen had won the trip from work and was looking forward to peace and quiet—neither of which looked possible after being pounced on by 150 pounds of dog. What starts as confrontational sparks quickly ignites into flames of another kind, as these two families find the more is the merrier.

Once again, Muriel Jensen provides laugh-out-loud humor in the midst of budding romance in FOR THE LOVE OF MIKE!, a sheer delight. (Feb., 256 pp., $4.75)
