LOVE IN PLAIN SIGHT
LOVE IN PLAIN SIGHT (4) by Jeanie London: When a missing child gets social worker Courtney Gerard suspended from her job at the New Orleans Department of Child and Family Services, she hires investigator Marc DiLeo to help her find the girl — who apparently disappeared right after Hurricane Katrina and was replaced by one of the foster families with an undocumented immigrant girl who took her name. Courtney and Marc travel to Tennessee together, following leads to find the child and hoping she’s still alive. This is a well-written novel with a very realistic plotline. Additionally, London’s characters show real warmth.
