This book is for followers of New Age philosophies, from tarot to numerology to chakras. While the story hangs together, the general reader will find it preachy, the characters simply mouthpieces for explaining different practices.

Angie has fled Seattle and her abusive ex with no clear idea of where to go. A little voice in her head urges her toward the seaside village of her childhood vacations. Once there, she meets eccentric townspeople who have at the very least a wide tolerance for various New Age practices. She is welcomed by the mystic innkeeper who runs a hospice center to help people toward the light. Then there is Ross, real estate agent, numerology radio host — and very handsome suitor. Angie also discovers she has more ties to the village of Harmony Falls than she knew. Each revelation brings her one step further on the journey to love and light. (LEISURE, Sep., 304 pp., $6.99)
