Book Review

by Melissa Senate

Genre: Mainstream, Chick lit

RT Rating

Told in a quirky first-person narrative, this novel will leave readers shaking their heads laughing at the comedy of errors in this lighthearted story with a mystery subplot. Senate moves the plot along swiftly, packing the tale with family functions and dysfunction and off-the-wall relationship advice.

Columnist Abby Foote's high school crush, Benjamin Orr, now a detective, shows up in her office to inform her that she is a person of interest in her ex-boyfriend's murder. Abby embarks upon her own investigation to clear her name, working a bit too closely with Detective Orr for her own good.
