Unlike previous chapters in the amazing Black Dagger Brotherhood series, here the romance is more a secondary plot thread than the primary focus. This book's main focus is the revelation of several crucial new plot points that will change everything. The darkest emotionally of the books so far, it's mind-blowing thanks to all the new twists Ward has packed in. This is a truly pivotal book in an exceptional series.

Despite having agreed to become the Primale to all the chosen females, Phury can't escape his own emotional and physical demons. Cormia, the first of Phury's chosen females, feels that something lacking
in herself is keeping Phury away, not
realizing he's battling a drug addiction
and a self-destructive inner voice.

Meanwhile, the evil Omega is relishing the culmination of a terrifyingly successful plot to destroy the Brotherhood. Two decades ago the Omega inserted a mole in the ranks of the vampire society, and that mole's activation is about to inflict devastating consequences. The Brotherhood must band together but
also grow and change if they are to
save their people.
