LOVE'S DESTINY is a pleasing romantic suspense, weighing heavily on the suspense.
Savannah Dailey is in shock. Her husband, Dwayne, jumped ship, leaving her with two children, a business to run, and no money. Anthony Martin is the PI hired by Savannah's sister to find Dwayne. Attracted to Savannah, it's clear that the timing for these two is all wrong.
More background regarding Dwayne's desire to leave would've been a plus in this otherwise meticulously plotted story. Savannah and Anthony's relationship was a bit awkward, stemming from Dwayne's hasty departure. Their new coupling had to be done just right and I sensed a conscious struggle on the author's part to find the right timing and make it tasteful. (Apr., 288 pp., $5.99)
