Book Review

by Laura Frantz

Genre: Inspirational, Historical Romance

RT Rating

Frantz begins her new Ballantyne Legacy series with a detailed story full of memorable characters. The historical minutiae are many; however, they do not bog down the story.

York, Penn., 1785: Silas Ballant-yne wants to finish his apprenticeship and become a master blacksmith out west. Liege Lee wants Silas to stay in Lancaster County to help him. Silas is interested in both of Liege’s daughters, but knows he can only choose one. Eden and Elspeth are as different as day and night. Only one will be the lucky one, while the other one will have jealousy in her heart. (REVELL, Sep., 432 pp., $14.99)
