LOVING BELLA (4) by Renee Ryan: England and Denver, 1885: Isabella O'Toole loves being an opera singer. She also loves William Gordon, Lord Crawley, and believes he is going to ask her to marry him. He proposes all right -- suggesting she become his mistress, as he's married. Bella is shocked and runs off, hoping to get her life back on track. Dr. Shane Bartlett needs an assistant to help him care for the children living in a charity house. Bella helps Shane with an emergency and he convinces her to become his assistant, temporarily. Strong feelings grow between them, but they wonder if an opera singer and a doctor from humble beginnings can have a future together. This love story has well-written, caring and thoughtful characters who have a high regard for others and want to do the right thing.
