Jessie Sinclair is nearly 30 and bemoaning the fact that she just might be the worlds oldest living virgin. Shed always planned on marriage and children, but having given her heart years ago, love might be out of reach.

Years before, Jessie, Reilly McKinnon and Matt Latimer were like a family until Jessie fell for Reilly. Hard. Now Matt works as a photojournalist and Reilly is married.

All three friends are back in one place again and its Matt who offers to help fulfill Jessies dream of having a child by offering a marriage of convenience. Something about the three of them being together again seems to be leading to all sorts of trouble.

With her distinctive sense of humor and a flair for lively dialogue, Ms. Schulze provides wonderful entertainment in this charming tale. (Jan., 384 pp., $6.50)
