In one of the most compelling vampire books I’ve read in a while, Reynolds blends an excellent mix of paranormal elements, suspense and combustible attraction between Lucas and Kathryn. Kathryn is a match for Lucas in every way; she is no shrinking violet. Together they burn up the pages!

Special Agent Kathryn Hunter’s brother, Daniel, goes missing while on a photography trip in South Dakota, and it appears that his last known destination was a vampire blood bar. Kathryn doesn’t know much about vampires, but she will move heaven and earth to find her brother, even if it means teaming up with Lucas, Lord and Master of the Plains Territory. War is brewing between the vampire clans, so the timing couldn’t be any worse for Lucas, but he’s not letting Kathryn run, because this hunt has just begun and failure is not an option.
