When her co-workers drag Lucy Sullivan to see a psychic, she expects it to be money down the drain, and she has trouble believing the prediction that shell be married within 18 months. With no sign of Mr. Right on the horizon, Lucy is not getting her hopes up.

However, when a prediction made about one of her co-workers comes true, everyone speculates that Lucys will as well. Just when Lucy has about given up, into her life comes the gorgeous, if irresponsible, Gus. Could he be Mr. Right? There is always her best buddy Daniel.

While much of LUCY SULLIVAN IS GETTING MARRIED is written in a somewhat humorous vein, it certainly proves the old saying, with friends like these, who needs enemies? Following the exploits of Lucys self-centered and shallow crowd rapidly wears thin. (Aug., 440 pp., $24.00)
