It’s always so refreshing to read a story featuring a woman who is unafraid to go after what she wants. Readers will really empathize with Usen’s heroine, who is on the verge of letting her past ruin her future. The emotion in the novel is palpable and will draw readers in.
Olivia Marconi has left her newly ex-husband and her family’s restaurant in New York to go back to her birthplace in Italy. On her heels is childhood friend and divorce lawyer Sean Kindred, who has secretly been in love with her for years. While in Italy, Olivia learns to stand up to her overbearing mother and forgive herself for the mistakes she’s made in her life. Giving Sean a chance, Olivia finally throws caution to the wind to see how a romance will fit into the new journey her life is taking. (SOURCEBOOKS, Jul., 320 pp., $6.99)
