Dane returns to her Delicious world for this story of a busy caterer who isn’t looking for a relationship and the hot drummer who meets her and finds he wants a relationship. The sex is frequent, if not beyond that of your typical mainstream romance, but the role reversal of the rock star wanting to commit while the girl next door wants to keep things on a friends-with-benefits level is refreshing. The chemistry between these two is adorable, and Dane has just the right mix of characters from previous stories without overwhelming new readers.
Mary Whaley has a life full of work and friends, but isn’t about to turn down a one-night stand with famous rocker Damien Hurley. She’s aware of his reputation and fine with no-strings-attached sex. But Damien discovers Mary is someone he just can’t resist and decides he wants more than just occasional hook-ups when they’re in the same city. The problem is, Mary isn’t about to give her heart to the guy who’s been around the block a time or 10. (HEAT, Apr., 304 pp., $15.00)
