September Signet starts with another sparkling gem from the pen of fast-rising star Nadine Miller. The daughter of a famous courtesan agrees to pretend to be her runaway twin sister to prevent a scandal in THE MADCAP MASQUERADE (4.5). But how can she successfully fool society when she turns out to have a very different personality indeed? And what will she do about her growing attachment to the handsome earl, to whom her missing sister is betrothed? Ms. Miller makes wonderful sense out of a complicated plot with impressive characterization and impeccable craftsmanship.
