MAHARAJA’S MISTRESS (3) by Susan Stephens: Mia Spencer-Dayly persuades childhood crush Ram Varindha to make her his co-driver for a Monte Carlo rally race. An accident left her scarred and blind in one eye and she doesn’t believe Ram, a royal playboy, would see her as anything more than his childhood friend. But Mia is as quirky and charming as ever, and Ram can’t help but be attracted to her. But he senses her vulnerability and he’s determined to help her regain her confidence, even if he has to kidnap her to do it. It’s an interesting premise with a unique hero and heroine, but the story lacks flow, and the conflict keeping Ram and Mia apart is weak.
