When actor Fitz Kelleran comes to widow Ellie Connors' ranch to shoot a movie, she falls for the handsome make-believe cowboy -- and Fitz seems equally attracted. Terry McLaughlin's Make-Believe Cowboy (4) is a well-written story full of interesting bits of description that make the characters and setting seem real. With little effort, readers will be able to imagine the workings of Ellie's ranch and the beauty of the landscape it sits on.
