A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS
A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS (2) by Heather MacAllister: Tyler Burton wants to spend some “quality time” indoors during the holidays with his girlfriend, but his roommate Marlie Waters has made herself a permanent fixture in their house. As a way to get Marlie out of the house, Tyler buys her a “Twelve Days of Christmas”-themed charity auction package — 12 dates with 12 different men. Suddenly, Tyler realizes that he’s made a mistake: he’s actually in love with Marlie, who is hot and sexy, after all. This is a novel premise, but things quickly fizzle. Marlie spends the entire first quarter of the book discussing her ex-fiancé with Tyler, and Tyler doesn’t split up with his girlfriend until near the book’s end, leaving little room for romance.
