A MAN OF HONOR
More than a romance novel, A Man of Honor also contains a mystery that surrounds the big hearted characters. The author handles tough problems with love, style and grace. And while the story does contain some graphic details, which may be upsetting to some, readers should not let this stop them from reaching the book's satisfying end.
Dusty Parker is a part-time preacher, part-time search-and-rescue member and full-time administrator at The Last Chance, a school for troubled boys. Called on to find a missing girl, Dusty hopes they find her alive, but knows that the odds of this are slim. Grace Sinclair also hopes for a happy ending. Like Dusty, she understands kids, which helps her teach in an inner-city school. Brought together by sad circumstances, Grace and Dusty make the best of a bad situation and start a relationship. Discovering that they have a lot in common, they begin their new life together. However, there is a black cloud hanging over them and their rainbow life is about to come crashing down unless a miracle comes their way. (ABINGDON PRESS, Sep., 341 pp., $14.99)
